Today was the first day of vacation for the boys and as such I didn’t see them very early. That gave me plenty of time to jump on the exercise machine and knit another coffee cozy. My collection is growing but I have a few more to go until I get to 30.
Bill went off to work a bit earlier than usual because today in the standup meeting, the doctors gave all of the staff their Christmas bonuses. Usually, this is done with fanfare at the office Christmas party. However, because of Covid they decided that it was best to forego the celebration this year. To make things a little more festive, all the doctors wore Santa hats except Bill who jokingly said he thought he was supposed to wear the Christmas chimney hat I knit.
We hope the staff enjoys their gifts and at some point in the future, we hope to make it up to them since this was our year to host.
Meanwhile, it was a typical Monday in these parts. There was laundry washed and folded, a kitchen cleaned and cooking done. I made bran muffins and a roasted vegetable soup for dinner.
This afternoon I met my knitting friends at God’s Garden by the river and we exchanged Christmas gifts. I received quite the haul of treasures and will look forward to using them in the future. I have such generous friends!
