We have been juggling cell phones around here. Bill recently switched to an Android. I know it’s hard to believe but really, it’s been a very good change. It’s working very well for him except for the fact that Apple makes it very difficult to communicate with a group when some people are on iMessaging and others are not. But I won’t digress about all that here. In the meantime, Walker assumed his old iPhone early in July when we finally caved (for our own convenience) and gave him a cell phone.
In the meantime, we decided it was time to upgrade my iPhone. Being the Apple geeks that we are, we knew that there would likely be a big phone announcement in September. We needed to decide if we would jump on the bandwagon and order the newest phone when it’s released then or wait for another round.
I have been using the iPhone 5 since its release several years ago and was discovering that I wanted something with a larger screen. I was a bit jealous of the size of Bill’s new phone, the Moto X Pure Edition. I knew if I upgraded I was going to want to go big.
I chose the iPhone 6+ and we ordered it through swappa. It’s a great way to buy new and newish phones from private parties and you can save a lot of money. He had bought his phone through them as well and we had a very good experience.
The ordering went smoothly and the phone arrived just as it was promised. Next it will be time to get it up and running (which can be another herculean feat) but in the meantime I’m so happy that it’s here!
