Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Bill was busy cooking up some memories with the boys. Friday night Walker had a birthday celebration with friends so Bill and Mason were flying solo. Together they prepared grilled Italian sausage sandwiches with caramelized onions and melted cheese and salad.
In the mornings, they prepared breakfast options to their liking. Walker is a fan of eggs and Mason a fan of sausage. Cranberry pecan bread was the basis of the breakfast sandwiches.
During the day, Bill went out to Signature High School to support the Ford Drive Event. For every car that was test driven, Ford made a contribution to the school. When I did it last year, the weather was nice and sunny. Bill was not so lucky.
After serving Mass on Saturday night, the boys made dinner. That menu included pasta with red sauce and more melted cheese and another Italian sausage sandwich more Mason.
Bill spares no expense (or should I say, calorie) when he is cooking with the boys. For his own entrée, he was less indulgent.
The other exciting news was that Walker’s birthday gift arrived.
I missed the unboxing but all reports are that the new series 4 watch does not disappoint. So in summary, it was a great weekend both here and afar.
yum…..I need to go make a nice lunch now.
