In our last cake decorating class Glenn taught Walker how to create more flowers using stiff icing.
Glenn held the tool and spun it to facilitate the application of the petals. Eventually and with practice, Walker will be able to do them on his own.
The best part of the last class was getting to design a cake that used all of the skills Walker had developed. He had to bring in a cake iced and ready to go. That was good practice to apply the base coat of icing and then smooth it out.
Walker is a big fan of frogs. Can you tell? Now we just need to keep up the practice and hone the skills Walker has learned to prepare for the 4-H project this summer.
Great piping! Wonderful lettering, never could quite get lettering right!
Very cool! Walker is becoming a pro at cake decorating!
