Today was a divide and conquer day. The scouts had a hike on the calendar, Walker volunteered at a golf benefit for Camp Ondessonk and I had a service commitment for Mother to Mother. It was dark o’clock when the Bill and the boys headed out to Illinois.
Walker spent the day helping at the benefit and when all was said and done, he earned the golf arrowhead and was given a new golf shirt.
After dropping off Walker, Bill and Mason met the other scouts at the Little Grand Canyon.
They hiked around for a few hours, had lunch and then the others returned back home. Since Walker’s service was not over, Bill and Mason headed off to another section of the Shawnee for more exploration. The Pomona Natural Bridge is made of sandstone and is the result of many years of erosion.
It was a great day to be outside.
