The third weekend in October is almost considered a holy weekend among many knitters. It’s the weekend of the New York Sheep and Wool Festival, affectionately known simply as Rhinebeck. Traditionally, those lucky enough to attend knit a special sweater (or two or three) to wear over the course of the several day event.
I have never been but I wanted to take advantage of the knit along energy to get a sweater knit. I have had this pattern, the Porch Swing Cardi by Kirsten Kapur, in my queue for many years. I finally knit it! If I had gone to Rhinebeck, I might have been just like many others, finishing up the details that very weekend. The important thing is that it’s done and I love it.

That is an amazing sweater. I can hardly believe it can be created!
