When Bill gave Mason the choice to travel for Fall Break or go on a more local adventure, Mason chose the latter. He planned a trip for them to Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. They left at dark o’clock, made good time and arrived just around opening. The weather was brisk and sunny but dry. Bill upgraded their tickets to Fast Pass Plus which allowed them to bypass the lines on the most popular attractions.
They rode a few rides before stopping for lunch at Panda Express. As the day wore on, the park grew more and more crowded making them very happy to have the Fast Passes. They rode all the rides they wanted multiple times and Mason’s favorites were the Diamondback and the Firehawk, which is going to be retired at the end of the month.
When it was time for dinner, Bill and Mason visited the food trucks.
Besides the regular attractions, the park had haunted mazes, scare zones and evil creatures everywhere for the Halloween season. Mason and Bill had special tickets to bypass the lines for the mazes too.
After about three mazes, Mason declared he had his fill and they retired to their hotel. They got up early, went to Mass at Good Shepherd and were back home by 1 pm.
