This morning Bill and Walker drove to Santa Clara University. They have a tour tomorrow but Bill thought it would be neat for them to experience a Jesuit Campus Mass. The pictures so far remind me of Loyola Marymount University in my parents’ old backyard.
Before Mass, though, Walker found a new crepe restaurant to try. How could they go wrong at this vegetarian, vegan and gluten free restaurant? He ordered a garden crepe with roasted eggplant, peppers, tomato, arugula, olives and pesto.
Bill, on the other hand, had one of his favorites, kale juice.
They drove into San Francisco to the Presidio, then on Highway 101
to Sausalito,
and then to Muir Beach Outlook. They had hoped to go Muir Woods but they discovered they would have needed to secure reservations months in advance. Besides the vistas, Bill found one of the base end stations from World War II. The roads were very narrow with sheer drops on either side of the highway, a new driving experience for Walker.
As they continued toward Ghirardelli Square, they passed another Mason landmark.
Their drive included a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge and a flyover by the Blue Angels as part of the Fleet Week Air Show. They finally ended up at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area where they parked to watch the planes fly by.
For dinner they returned to Pacific Café but this time they were early and they secured a seat.

Tomorrow they have two back-to-back tours, so they went back to the hotel to turn in.
