Today’s adventures included attending Mass at home in our living room and later finishing the L. L. Bean My Hometown puzzle.
Last night’s storm was actually a tornado that touched down a few miles from us. We escaped without harm but there was some damage at the scout house. The shed where we keep all the lawn mowers was leveled and some repair will need to take place on the building.
The shed used to sit on that pallet.
The strong winds upended quite a few trees as well.
Bill helped pile the remains of the shed next to the building and secure the other items in the basement. He documented the damage for the insurance company as well.
In the afternoon, Bill and I took another walk. The weather was so nice that it was hard to believe a storm had passed through just a few hours before. We could see lots of evidence of it in the nearby neighborhoods where the trees were more mature and large limbs had fallen. Once again, I was grateful that we escaped it.
I haven’t mentioned it much, but there has been quite a bit of knitting going on. I have been working on what I’m calling the Corona Cardigan. It’s been my exclusive focus since we started sheltering in place.
