Today was truly a wonderful day! My social cup runneth over. It started with a knitting session with my local knitting peeps on Google Duo.
Then I had an unexpected ninety (90!!!) minute call with Monique in which we talked about family stuff, current events, Covid-19 coping strategies, Gretchen Rubin and more. We ran out of time, not things to talk about.
And THEN, I got to knit with my dear friend, Leslie of A Friend to Knit With. Leslie is one of those special knitters whom I have been admiring virtually for years. She has a beautiful blog where she shares gorgeous knitting projects and yummy cookies baked for her kiddos. Over years of blog comments and emails exchanged, we have become closer than just “friends.” Years ago we began exchanging texts but we have never had real time interaction. After one of her recent podcasts, it dawned us that we could arrange a virtual knitting session on ZOOM. I don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner! We too ran out of time before running out of things to say. I hope one day I will be able to sit with her in REAL life.
On the virus front, Walker was randomly selected to receive a Covid-19 test through the Indiana State Department of Health. We believe this test is part of a study about the spread of the virus in Indiana.
Because the supply of tests in the United States has been so limited and then restricted to those exhibiting the worst symptoms or those with the highest risk, he jumped at the opportunity. As a medical person, Bill was intrigued why and how Walker ended up in this random pool and he too wished he could have gotten in on it.
Today’s gratitudes include my wireless headphones, a delicious and easy vegetable soup from our Misfits shipment and my tasty carrot cake for dessert.
