Mason made a meme and posted it on Reddit. He has been making lots of them since Covid started. Today, one of his memes was recognized on Piediepie’s vlog today.
The video is called, “I uploaded this by mistake….!!” and Mason’s meme appears roughly at the timestamp of 8:50. When he saw he had been included in one of his favorite podcaster’s episodes, he was ecstatic! Having a kiddo that happy made this mom very happy too.
Meanwhile, on the home front things are moving along. I got another run in this morning, a little farther than I anticipated which felt great. Both yesterday and today while I was out, I ran into friends and got to have a socially distant visit. We have been so close to home that it had been ages since I saw friends in the flesh. It felt good for my heart.
The laundry got done and I pressed my vintage hankies with my new Steamfast press. I bought this to speed the process of T–shirt quilts but I’m finding other ways to utilize it. I continued to work on my blog writing, spoke with my mom, prepared food for my family and celebrated that we have a full pantry.
We did receive news that Mason’s first session at Camp Ondessonk the beginning of June was cancelled as were all sessions of Boy Scout Camp at Ransburg in Bloomington. Furthermore, Walker’s summer trip to South Africa was also cancelled today. All of these announcements make sense given the uncertainty of the virus but don’t lessen the loss. They just allow us to grieve and move through the feelings.
