I had the privilege of test sewing another Sew Sew Live pattern, this time the Chicken Boots Zip Double.
It’s a roomy bag that keeps all the contents secure inside thanks to a zipper closure. There is an internal pocket faced with vinyl allowing for a peek-a-boo feature. The edges are finished with bias tape. I’ll be honest here. I chose my fabrics based on the fact that I had JUST enough bias tape left from the last Sew Sew Live test that I did and I knew that would save me a bunch of time.
The top of the bag can be unzipped and folded over to allow the bag to sit squarely and function like a basket. This is how I like to use the bag.
The handle can be made with fabric or webbing. I found a strap in my stash that I repurposed from a backpack that had given up the ghost.
The inside of the bag has no exposed seams.
The bag holds several skeins would easily accommodate either a sweater or a bunch of smaller projects.
I really like testing for this designer. Her patterns are really well written and come with a video tutorial as well. When I make this pattern in the future, I will use a heavier weight fabric than the quilting cotton or I will line it with interfacing to give the fabric a better hand.

Tonight after a Sakura dinner, we played Catan again.
I enjoyed it with my knitting on my lap.
My gratitudes for the day include a daily walk with Bill, a drive with Mason, Target drive up pick up, my sewing machine and time to be creative.
