Before I talk about the sewing I did today, I want to say how nice it was to see people we knew at church today. We zoomed in from home but this was one of the first weekends when the congregation was invited back into the physical building. I have missed my church community. (Many thanks to my buddy Maria for this photo.)
Now, onto the sewing. I had a very productive day. I sewed and sewed and sewed some more. I quilted the rest of the top, added the binding and stitched it all down.
I’m so pleased that I made my deadline and finished this quilt. Now all that is left is to add the label. Hurray!
Besides the quilt, I continued my streak working on the great blog catch up. A little bit each day does add up much more than I would think. The weather outside was gorgeous, so much so that we opened the windows and the doors. Because it was so nice, Bill took my car and got it washed. I always appreciate when he does that for me because he goes above and beyond. Whereas I drive through and call it a day, he takes the time to dry it all off and wipes the windows too. No streaks and no spots!
For dinner I used two cans of my favorite Thai curry soup and beefed them up with lots of extra veggies from our Misfits box. I added green beans, mushrooms and celery. I served it with Rachael Ray’s sesame noodles and the entire meal met with the family’s approval.
I also photographed and posted a few of the projects that I’ve been working on lately. These little coffee cozies will be gifts later in the year and the hat is another one for charity.
