Let’s start with a little update on the knitting. I’m up to day 14 and getting ready to start working the back panel.
I spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen today. It’s not that I was cooking all day but I did do a bit of that. I like to wrap the gifts at the kitchen island where I can stand comfortably and have a big space to work. I managed to get a number of gifts wrapped before Walker came home.
I had a pretty easy dinner to prepare thanks to a Thai curry soup that I enhance with extra veggies. I tossed in a bunch of these purple turnips from Misfits as well as bok choy and collard greens. It went to together fast and was much enjoyed.
The granola gifts for Walker’s teachers are all set and ready to be delivered tomorrow. I baked my usual recipe and added a little gift tag with the ingredients and suggestions for use. My present self was tickled that my past self had printed extra tags and saved them with the Christmas bags.
I also got to catch up with several friends on the phone including Teresa whom I have not spoken to in years. Literally, years! The blessing of certain friendships is that no matter how long it’s been, we can pick up just where we left off. I’m grateful that my circle of friends is wide and deep.
