It was nice enough for us to get out this morning on the early side before the weather turned to rain and snow. I suggested we walk the Wellness Trail near our house for a change of pace. It’s about a mile from our house but of course, no sidewalks lead there AND we have to cross a major thoroughfare to get to it, so we drove. The straight up and back distance is not much so we ditched into a few neighborhoods to add some mileage and explored a few subdivisions that have sprung up recently. Bill was in a very good mood in anticipation of his trip to CA this weekend, bounding along like Tigger, and he brought me, Mrs. Eeyore, out of a funk. By the end of the walk, we both had a spring in our steps. It was a wonderful walk to start the day.
Other Saturday events were administrative in nature. I worked a photo project, my blog and some knitting documentation. The annual football themed knit-a-long I do every year wraps up tomorrow and I have until Monday to enter all the yardage I knit.
Although it was like attending Mass with monkeys, we did attend as a family. We visited the Philippines today. It’s so interesting to note an open liturgical space with oscillating fans blowing tropical air while we watch the snow begin to fall here.
After Mass, we picked up Cafe Arazu for dinner and watched a series that has captivated Walker’s attention called Agents of Shield.
When the TV was turned off, Mason managed to get Bill up onto his new skateboard deck to test his balance. I was too afraid of breaking my neck to try but I was impressed with the prowess they demonstrated.
