Today was National Walk to School Day and St. John’s was happy to participate. The event dovetailed nicely with our Heroes Wellness Grant. Unfortunately, there are no sidewalks that lead to our school. Most students arrive to school via carpool and bus so our school organizers set up a remote drop-off site about a mile from school.
The students left in waves with parents as chaperones. It was a beautiful, albeit brisk, morning for a walk along the Ohio River. My boys were in the first group to depart and I followed up the rear of all the groups.
It was a great way to start the day and I hope the tradition continues in the years to come.
That’s neat!
Wonderful job of organizing. Even the weather cooperated.
