How can it be that four years have passed and Kim, who just moved here, is now graduating with her nursing degree? She has chosen to stay in town after graduation (hip, hip hooray), has rented an apartment and needs some furnishings. Isn’t an IKEA shopping trip a perfect graduation gift? Kim thought so too!
I was a happy passenger for this drive to Cincinnati and I hoped to get a lot of knitting done on my Halloween socks.
I sweat time stood still once we entered, but after nearly six hours of shopping, we had plenty to show for ourselves. I was a wee bit apprehensive about how it was going to all fit into the back of Kim’s Blazer.
But thankfully, my worries about several trips never came to pass.
We had the pleasure of catching up with Ms. Jenna who lives in Cincinnati but is from here. I might add, she just ran the Boston Marathon with a smokin’ PR time of 3 hours 19 minutes.
Our escapades included lunch and a trip through Trader Joe’s before we headed home.
The trip was highly productive for both of us.
I remember like it was yesterday you talking about your niece who might be coming to college in Evansville! Aigh! So cool she loves it so much to stick around!
My niece was here for a year, and it was nice to see her so much more frequently and to have “just us time”. How great that your time doesn’t have to end now.
I remember Kim at your wedding! She was a bit shorter then. Time really does fly!
I’m so grateful to have a road trip buddy and loving Aunt in my life! I loved m graduation gift and the time I got to spend with you 🙂
xoxo Kim
