No way! Ours was quite colorful! We spent the day at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. These photos are of the Fireworks of Glass ceiling created by Dale Chihuly. The boys were happy to be at the museum for opening day of the Yule Slide. Despite their ages, the boys have yet to tire of it.
We also stopped in for a snowball fight in the Jolly Days.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing a performance of Jingle Arrgh the Way: A Christmas Pirate Adventure. It was based on an original story by Melissa Long, author of the bestselling “How I Became a Pirate” books. We have seen several of these live performances at the museum and they are always quite good.
We left just before the museum closed and headed to Trader Joe’s to stock the holiday gift basket and load the pantry. As usual, the crew made comments about how much coffee we bought. If they weren’t so nice and friendly, I might find their comments intrusive and trite. Once the car was loaded up, we had dinner at Noodles & Company which had something for everyone.
We couldn’t have had a better Black Friday!
We just need a Trader Joe’s in Evansville already!!! We really do… Santa, please bring us one?
Xoxo Kim
I’m with Kim. Trader Joes…when are you coming?
