Mason’s class has been studying the founding of Jamestown in Social Studies. To culminate their studies, the students were asked to build their own replicas of Jamestown.
The nice thing about this project was that it was designed to be completed fully in class. All we had to do was bring the supplies. Parents were invited to help in the classroom. Mason’s group included Gavin, Kenzie and Vivi. They started with a plan and even had assigned each person items to bring in.
This was where they ended after the first day. The teacher allotted two, maybe three, class sessions for construction. I am eager to see how far they get over the next few days.
Looks like a great group!
Yes, she changed it this year to in-class and was quite pleased!
