Mason is a budding trumpeter! While he had exposure to musical instruments in Kindermusik, this is his first year where he will be playing the same instrument for three years. He chose the trumpet and it’s delightful. I enjoy hearing him practice and I’m looking forward to the day when he can play reveille to get his brother out of bed or to start the day at a scout campout.
His teacher does a really nice job with music selection for the Christmas program. The sixth graders only played one song this time while the seventh and eighth graders each played a few more.

Thanks, Jessica!
Glad to have another trumpeter in the bunch. (although Joel is giving up his trumpet to stick with show choir in high school….only so much time in the day (and night when you love sports – he did 5 this year). Matthew still plays his trumpet though, I am guessing he will play 3 more years at least.
Anna started the flute this year…..I hear more flute than I ever heard trumpet…(or baritone/tuba (carolyn))
Your boys do love brass!
