What does one do when a very loud thunderstorm wakes her up at 3:30 am? She starts her day early with an hour on the Bow Flex, drinks a little regular coffee and gets a lot done (including mopped floors and clean bathrooms) by 8:30 am.
Under the umbrella of staying connected to people, I met Liz for a FaceTime recitation of the rosary. Tuesdays are our adoration day so it was good to pray together like normal.
Then Rachel and I went through a huge stack of cross-stitch magazines and patterns that my friend Cheryl destashed to me. Thank goodness again for FaceTime. Show and tell is much easier that way.
When I spoke with my friend Peggy, she offered to mail me a bunch of buttons for my Sock Arms Sweater. Imagine a stash that big that she has multiple options of eggplant colored buttons in various sizes!
This evening Dan King, the director of Camp Ondessonk, called to say thank you. Our fondness for camp runs deep and we sent some extra financial support since we can. I don’t envy his position to cancel the first sessions and know that he did not make that decision lightly.
We had our own little Mexican celebration from La Campirana which Bill was able to pick up as well as the driver’s manual for Mason on his way home from work. I truly appreciate the way quarantining has encouraged us to streamline our errands. We ended our day with family dinner, a rousing game of Monopoly and a wee bit of knitting.
