When Bill discovered Clusterfest, “an unhinged extravaganza of comedy, music, podcasts, drag queens and more,” he knew right away it would be an opportunity to put a smile on Mason’s face. Mason is a huge fan of The Office, Seinfeld and comedy in general. Bill and I love San Francisco. The weekend was a match made in heaven.
Early Friday morning, Mason and Bill logged onto the Clusterfest app to make reservations to visit The Office and Seinfeld sets. They secured time slots and that afternoon Mason barged in on Jerry’s apartment just like Kramer.
Zooming out, this was the greater perspective of what the set looked like.
While he did enjoy sitting in all of Jerry’s chairs, his favorite part was watching everyone else barge into the apartment just like he did.
Next was the visit Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch from The Office.
Note: Mason’s hand is on the Jello stapler from the infamous prank.
Seeing the props was Mason’s favorite part of this set. Of course, Office aficionados will immediately recognize Dwight’s jumpsuit and CPR dummy face.
The comedy took place in both an outdoor stage and indoors.
Friday night they grabbed pizza from the food trucks and then got back in line for a few later shows. They finished up after midnight and walked back to our hotel.
Saturday morning before heading back to Clusterfest, Mason and Bill rode a cable car and then they stopped for a burger and garlic fries at Super Duper Burgers.
They thought of me when they spotted this yarn bombing. So sweet of them!
That afternoon between sets, Mason got to try Oculus VR (Virtual Reality).
For dinner Saturday night, Bill ordered a deconstructed samosa at this food truck which was chana garbanzo masala, pico chutney and mini samosa.
Mason got beef nachos and maple bacon donuts.
It was another full day of comedy on Saturday as well and they ended on a high note with a lot of jokes to tell.

Over the two days, Mason and Bill got their money’s worth out of their tickets. They saw many comedians and musicians, including:
DJ Dials – DJ/producer from San Francisco
Cipha Sounds who is “very famous in NY,” to quote the man himself
Craig Robinson known for his portrayal of Daryl Philban in The Office and Doug Judy from Brooklyn 99
Amy Poehner and Friends
Chris Distefano was the host of Up Next
Oscar Nunez who plays Oscar in The Office
David Koechner who plays Packer in The Office
Creed Bratten who plays Creed Bratten, Mason’s favorite character in The Office
We’re not sure if this could be an annual tradition but it sure was a great opportunity this time!
