Thursday night was the big reveal of the craft swap. This time I was not up against the wall trying to finish my projects. I decided almost immediately after the last swap that I was going make felted bowls. There were eight of us in the swap but I made many more bowls so that people could have a choice. The collage shows the same bowls from a variety of perspectives.
Kim make scented candles using soy wax and recycled crayons.
Susan made painted these Christmas prints. Each one was so beautiful. We all deliberated over our choices.
It was Tiffani’s first time in the swap. She canned homemade jam and salsa. I have a jar of peach salsa and peach jam. I should say, I HAD a jar of peach salsa. Yum!
Cynthia whipped out these encaustic paintings (and I think she would be comfortable with me saying that because she admitted she completed hers in less than a week). Each one has layers of paint and lots of texture.
Tiki recently acquired an envelope maker and she created notecards with lined envelopes using scrapbook paper. They are festive and fancy!
Jenni could not make the swap exchange but she made hand stenciled tea towels using iridescent oil paint sticks called Shiva Paint Sticks.
Liz made hot pads with insulated batting.
And I made bowls. Lots and lots of bowls!
Once again it was like Christmas but better. I love the big reveal and am so glad to see what secret talents my friends have.
Such talent!
I am inspired!
Ditto!
SO fun!
