With a very quick turn around after our Chicago adventure, we packed up and headed off to Yosemite last night for Joey and Mia’s wedding. We flew from St. Louis to Sacramento and landed around dinnertime. We had a fast dinner at Baja Fresh and began the long and windy drive to our hotel in Yosemite. It was a full day of travel.
The schedule for the next few days was completely centered around hanging out and spending time with family in a beautiful place.
After breakfast, Kim and Jerry took Walker and Mason out fishing and Bill, Rachel and I hung out at the condo.
After lunch, our family took off on our own for a little exploration.
I couldn’t help but photo bomb Walker.
Provisions and gasoline are sold at a premium in the national park.
GPS is almost none existent. Thankfully, I had printed out the directions ahead of time and Bill was a good navigator.
The boys are taking in Half Dome from this vista point.
El Capitan was beautiful as well.
It was so peaceful even though the parks were crowded.
After a nice adventure, we returned to the condo for the rehearsal dinner catered by Rachel and Mia’s mom. We excused ourselves on the early side so everyone could get a good night’s sleep before the big day.
