The other day I was sitting with Brooke watching our kids during their ice skating lessons. Brooke’s older two kiddos were in the same grades as Mason and Walker at Montessori. It’s been years since our paths have crossed and we have enjoyed the time to catch up. It turns out her daughter, Hannah, has blossomed into quite the artist.
In fact, Hannah has something exciting in the works. You see, there is this little company that has a little contest wherein child artists have an opportunity to submit a doodle for said company’s website. The 2015 theme was What Makes Me…Me. Hannah drew a design on her tablet, submitted it to Google and lo and behold, she won for the state of Indiana.
She entitled her design, “The Magic of Reading” and stated, “Reading and drawing take me to fantastic worlds and they make me…ME!”
Google sent out several representatives to Evansville to present her award and we were invited to attend. It was quite the press release. Google set up a fancy balloon display and everyone in attendance got Google shirts.
The boys were so excited to be a part of her celebration.
In fact, we all were. Hannah’s design is now up for voting for the national award. We wish her all the best!
Gorgeous design.
That is such a great design. How exciting for everyone!!!
