We wandered over to the Children’s Museum as our first stop of the day and happened upon a well named (and busy) neighborhood breakfast joint. Then we were off to meet Mary, John, Katie and Keegan for the morning. The museum was not too crowded and had a little something for everyone.
Thank you, Walker, for being our photog.
Once we bid Mary adieu, we met with Chrissy, her family, her dad and her stepmom for lunch and then a jaunt to Pacific Beach. There was a lot of digging, burying, swimming, splashing and playing involved.
And of course, there was some knitting and laughter among friends.
Then it was time to clean up and head back to the hotel to get cleaned up for the evening event.
The AAP hosted us on the USS Midway, one of the longest serving aircraft carriers. We arrived just at the start of the event started and only had to wait a little while to board. This year tickets were not issued but badges were enforced. Thankfully we brought ours because we saw a few families get turned away.
We poked our head in and around many different aircraft before heading back to the hotel. It was a delightfully long day!
You really know how to pack in the great times.
Looks like an educational and fun day!
