TGIF! While I was knitting virtually with my friends, I noticed a flurry of aviary activity out in the field. Thousands and thousands of black birds swooped down and roosted in the field and then took off again. The moved through in waves over and over and I was mesmerized.
Today was my first Friday phone call with Mom and Dad. I decided that I wanted to be more deliberate in communicating with them so we now have a standing phone date. Mom sent me a message before we started to ask what was for lunch. Her timing was perfect because I was just about to eat my Buddha Bowl Salad and homemade granola.
Bill’s new glasses arrived and he is pleased as punch with them. The world is much brighter through new lenses. He hadn’t realized how scratched and cloudy his old ones were until now.
Lastly, Walker got good news today that he was accepted to UMass Amherst, Purdue and St. Louis University Madrid. To celebrate we ordered in from a new local restaurant called The Landing.
