The festivities were in full force. We lined the drive with the jack-o-lanterns as usual.
Here is a quick clip of them all lit up.
Originally, Mason was going to go as Paul Zerdin from America’s Got Talent. We bought a dummy and everything but then, he heard about the dinosaur and it was game over. (I can’t say I blame Mason. I remember hating to explain my costume to people on Halloween. To this day, I prefer the self-explanatory ones.)
The dinosaur costumes were pretty pricey online but as luck would have it, a friend of Mason’s mentioned he had seen it at TJMaxx. The look of surprise on his face when I presented it to him was precious.
To see him in action was even better!
Walker went as a college student for Halloween this year. He wore a sweatshirt, kept his hand in a bag of food and sat at his computer doing homework.
I made my traditional soup in a pumpkin meal for dinner. I love squash of all varieties and the presentation of this makes me squeal in delight.
The pumpkins were a labor of love primarily by Bill with some assistance from Mason. Walker and I carved one a piece. In the end, we had about 17 this year as several expired before their debut on the pumpkin parade. That’s a lot of seeds to roast, and yes, I did roast them all.
Lastly, I popped in to Mason’s class for a quick hello and a photo opportunity at his class party.
What an amazing pumpkin quilt! Did you use a high loft batting??
Are you still eating pumpkin seeds?
