It was finally time to pick Walker up! I will go on record to say that I embarrassed the heck out of my son but I didn’t mean to. I was that mom who enthusiastically waved to him through the window of the dining hall. My salutation was greeted with a look that said, “Go away, Mom. You are embarrassing me.” I venture to guess next time he will ask me to wait for him in the car.
Walker and his counselor Trent who is the next head of Lodge.
Photo bombing Walker was Mason’s forte. Walker wanted a picture to remember Joey and Gareth from Ireland.
Xavier is one of our favorite counselors. He came back to camp from his “real job” to help out. He’s a big kid at heart and I’ll be crestfallen when he moves on.
Now it’s time for the photos from the week. Because Lodge campers did a lot of their own activities, the camp photographer did not capture them as much. However, we did have proof over the week that Walker was more than alive. He was well!
Not all of the photos were clear but Walker’s smile was more than focused. I bet he’ll want to be a Lodge camper every summer from now on.
We crossed the covered bridge for the last time of the summer. We’ll be back, Camp O. Heepwah!
Whatever happened to my “little”grandsons?
What a great place!
