I feel quite blessed that I was able to share in Camille’s First Holy Communion celebration.
Although the Sacrament was celebrated at the usual 11 am Sunday mass, the parish did a wonderful job making the first communicants the primary focus.
Father’s homily was directed toward the children and their families. They did the readings and petitions, dressed the altar and participated in the offertory procession.
Camille and Monique brought up the gifts.
Camille had quite the group in attendance.
Mom and Dad were there,
Camille’s closest girl cousins, Shelby and Kate, were present too,
as was Heidi, Shelby’s mom,
and so was Anne, Camille’s other grandma.
Afterwards, there was a party and some folks might have gotten a little wet.
At the end of the night, after everyone had headed off, we popped in the Beauty and the Beast DVD starring Walker and had a relaxing evening.
I can’t speak for the others but I dare say, my cup ran over with joy.
Such wonderful memories!
Thanks for posting these now. Dad and I will be visiting Dad’s parents in Vegas. They will be thrilled with the photos.
