Since the boys have gotten older and their love of Tonka has matured, Bill thought they’d enjoy the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. While it might seem crazy, we drove up and back this weekend. It was seven hours each way. The driving was shared between Walker and Bill.
We rolled in early afternoon and walked the showroom for a few hours. It was really crowded but we were still able to see so many cars. We even sat in the Toyota concept car.
After having our fill of cars, we had our fills of Italian food at Andiamo. It was just a few blocks from our hotel, making it very convenient.
Sunday morning we got up early to get breakfast before going to 8:30 am Mass at Old St. Mary’s. We happened to discover The Clique Restaurant, a brisk walk from the hotel. The atmosphere and menu were reminiscent of a NY diner. It was a delicious find!
The rest of the day included driving and more driving but we made it home early enough to unpack and have a relaxing Sunday night.
