Fair kicked off last night so Walker and Mason turned in their projects yesterday afternoon.
Mason entered his series circuit for electricity. He and Bill stained the board, carefully soldered all the connections and then labeled each part. The light bulbs do illuminate demonstrating that the circuit does work.
Walker met with his judge who reviewed his board with him. His was entitled, “How Video Games Work” and the topics included how video games were made, the finances involved in production, marketing and revenue and the benefits of video games such as skills the gamer acquires, educational games and societal impacts.
One of the benefits of meeting with the judges is the opportunity to explain the work done on the project. Mason showed the judge his electricity workbook and walked him through all the steps on his circuit.
Tonight when we returned to the fairgrounds, we found out the results of the judging. Walker earned a blue award and Mason a purple award. I’m proud of both of them and especially excited for Mason that this year his project will go to State Fair.
FABOO, Walker and Mason! So pleased for each of you.
Congratulations……well earned with hard work.
Looks great!
