Bill and Walker left Friday night for a scout camping trip to Camp Ondessonk. It was Walker’s big dream to camp there with scouts during Winter. They stayed in Lalemant. Their bunks overlooked a smaller channel of Lake Echon. It’s accessible via either the Goupil Footbridge or the Amantacha Swinging Bridge.
They went on hikes and did an orienteering course set up.
The course led them to all kinds of interesting places on the grounds.
Meanwhile, back at home Mason and I went to the Icemen Hockey Game. We took and met four friends: Aidan, Gavin, Colin and Carter.
It was teddy bear toss night so many people brought bears or stuffed animals to throw on the ice. These are collected and given to charity.
It was quite the night both here and in Ozark.
Ben had a great time!
Your December looks a lot less white than ours did. I sure miss the weather (but not as much as the people). We were too young (as a family) to have ever experienced Camp Ondessonk, but are blessed with CYC (Catholic Youth Camp) about 67 minutes away!
