Camp Ondessonk is one place where our kids thrive so it was no surprise that Mason wanted to arrive very early, check in first and then be left on his own to settle in for the week. It was great to see Walker at registration since he was incommunicado last week at Surf Camp. We had a record-breaking check in. In true divide and conquer fashion, Mason and I went to stake out his bunk at his unit, Daniel, while Bill and Walker hiked out to Raganeau to retrieve Walker’s first week of camp clothes. The lake was closed for the swim test because of lightening but in the process, we learned an important fact. Only one swim test is required per summer!

All cleaned up, we realized that Walker had gotten quite the suntan on his face. I wonder if that surfer’s tan will disappear by the time school starts.
We had plenty of time to sit and catch up at the Gaga Pit but Bill and I didn’t linger. We headed home and left the boys in their happy places.
Love the happy faces.
