Walker had a great birthday! It started with a drive out to Ferdinand Forest in his Highlander with dad. Every time Bill and I have gone there to hike, he has mentioned that he thought Walker would enjoy it. The road, IN-264E/E. 23rd St., is curvy, narrow and has several big hills with roller coaster style dips. It’s an adventure for sure! I was happy to see those two go out together for that special father/son time on such a momentous day. On their way home, they stopped by Costco to initiate Walker’s new membership, one of our gifts to him. Now he can freely go for gas and pizza!
I spent most of the day prepping for Walker’s gathering. Tonight’s menu was Caesar salad with homemade croutons, Better than Tucci Benucch Baked Spaghetti with Marcella Hazan’s Tomato Sauce, garlic bread,
and the BEST Chocolate Cake. I also had a special request for guacamole and chips for snacks after dessert.
His gathering of friends included Tim, Amanda, Becca, Katie, Eilidh, and Chloe.
By the looks of this, the cake was a success! After dinner, they played games and hung out. By 11:30 everyone headed home, just in time for this mama bear to turn into a pumpkin.
