I am sporting a KN95 mask or what Bill calls Cheap Chinese Junk. When Covid-19 started, there was a huge shortage of N95 masks, the gold standard of respirators and surgical masks in the United States.
Enter the KN95s. They are similar to the N95s but the additional letter indicates that these masks are certified in China. According to what I read, the Center for Disease Control authorized the use of the KN95s here but if you ask Bill, he stands by the fact that they are cheap junk.
My next level of loveliness came after I had my annual eye exam. I had not anticipated eye dilation when I made plans to meet my friend for lunch outside in God’s Garden. Though several hours had elapsed after my appointment, I found the outside world to be really bright. I had to don my regular sunglasses and the post-mydriatic disposable ones. With double-duty protection, all was well but I did feel a bit self-conscious (or shall I say old?) with the oversized glasses.
Zooming out, today the news reported that President Trump and the First Lady tested positive for Covid-19. In fact, the President was admitted to Walker Reed for care.
Hmm. Things are getting interesting.
