For the last few years, St. John’s has paired up older and younger students for Mass. Fourth grade is the dividing line so for the first time, Mason is now the buddy to a younger classman. It is Mason’s job to help his buddy reverently participate in Mass.
Because Walker sings in the choir and sits in the choir pit, he has not been assigned a buddy. They wisely decided that it would not be helpful for Walker to pair up with a student and then not sit with him.
I am looking forward to watching Mason grow as a Mass buddy.
Wonderful way to encourage reverence for both ages
What a cute tradition! Camille and Frankie have buddies every year and they’ve both loved all of them!
I am usually in the pew behind Mason. He is doing a good job with his buddy!
