I never posted about the project that Mason finished up while I was in Los Angeles. For Black History month, each student studied a famous African American, dressed up a two liter bottle to look like him or her and wrote a report. Mason chose Tony Dungy.
Tony Dungy was born on Oct. 6, 1955 in Michigan. He is still alive. He is Christian. His father was a pilot in world war II. He coached the Indianapolis Colts when they won the Super Bowl. He wrote some books. For example, You Can Do It! This was about how his little brother Linden when he was six and how he got his dream of becoming a dentist. He brings baskets to Riley Hospital for the children. He says his books he wrote are more of a success than winning the Super Bowl because he got lots of note saying the book helped people.
Great choice! As a football fan I have always liked him. Very sad when his son committed suicide
Great report, Buddy! I love your statue too.
What a great project!
