Today was a busy day from the start. The first stop was at Arlington National Cemetery.
Then, our group witnessed the Changing of the Guard. Four of our students—Christian, Colleen, Emily and Caden—lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. It was a beautiful day to participate in such a solemn ceremony.
Next was the tour of the Capitol and lunch.
The Ford’s Theatre visit was one of the highlights of the trip for Mason. He found it very interesting.
They had supper at the National Place before going to the Nationals Baseball Game. The Nationals played the Philadelphia Phillies and won. They stayed until the sixth inning and then headed back to the hotel.
