There is a perk to having a niece who is a traveling nurse. Occasionally, she travels close enough to drop in for the day. Such is the case until October while Kim is working in St. Louis. She drove out to spend the day with us. It’s hard to believe this was the first time this summer we could all be together!
We had a fun day—lunch at Manna, seeing the movie Yesterday, climbing at Vertical Escape and then family dinner at Sakura.
It was a surprising moment this afternoon when I was walking across the parking lot to meet Kim and Mason that I realized that the taller of the two heads bopping toward me was Mason’s. I’m not sure how this happened but my tall niece has just been passed up by my both of my boys! I didn’t expect this day to come so soon.
A family day was a great way to wrap up summer!
