We Catholics are pretty good at giving things up for Lent but this season my heart was in the spirit of giving. Further, in keeping with my goal of “use it or lose it,” I am choosing to spread love through sewing. The Million Pillowcase Challenge is an ongoing movement to provide pillowcases to local charities.
Since I have lots of fabric and a trusty sewing machine, my Lenten promise will be to create a pillowcase a day. I’ll be using this basic pattern and digging into the stash I have. I hope to have a lovely parade of pillowcases to share at Easter.
