I danced a jig at the gas station today at the sub-two dollar gas price. I don’t know how long it will last but I will enjoy it while I can.
Tonight before bed, Mason peeled off the masking tape from his car which had gotten several coats of yellow spray paint. Then they taped off a new area and added brown to the spoiler. The derby is on Friday night and his car is so close to being finished.
Mason’s class has been studying the founding of Jamestown in Social Studies. To culminate their studies, the students were asked to build their own replicas of Jamestown. Beginning with the second quarter, the students who improve (or maintain) their grades are recognized by the Kiwanis club. They receive a BUG award for Bringing Up Grades. Each one received a certificate, a plastic bug and a pencil for their efforts. There were a lot of them this quarter!
