Today was the day we traveled to Indianapolis to cash in Mason’s St. Nicholas gift and see Jeff Dunham perform. We made a day of it and got up in time to have a late lunch at P.F. Chang’s and make a stop to the Apple Store in the mall. Unfortunately, the service at P.F.’s was dreadful and the poor server couldn’t recover. Before we left, I spoke with the manager and as a good will gesture, he took care of our bill for us.
We popped over to the Apple store so that we could borrow a special adapter to quickly transfer all of my photos from my old iPhone to the new one I got for Christmas. Although we own this adapter, it is temporarily missing in action so my Apple savvy son suggested we see if they would let us use one at the store. Bless his heart if it didn’t work.
The show was downtown at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse and we arrived with time to settle in and purchase a few souvenirs.
Jeff Dunham is a very funny guy and fast. Of course, he had a number of prepared acts and a few for the show that he was debuting but we also witnessed how truly fast on his feet he is. At the start of the show, he was warming up and started tapping himself on the forehead with the mike. There must have been some rough spot on the mesh because he discovered he had cut himself and was starting to bleed. We watched him turn that mishap into something hilarious. It was fantastic.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves and before we knew it, we were piling in the car and heading home. Although Walker could not share the driving with me, he thankfully kept me company in the shotgun seat.
