I need to make eight of something to share with some friends but I couldn’t settle upon what to make. It took me forever and a lot of waffling before I finally settled on sewing this bag after last weekend’s chats with my aunt, cousin and mom about crafting. My intimidation by zippers has kept me from attempting these bags. I decided to face the fear head on and get busy.
The first step was to go through my stash and pull out a pairs of fabrics that coordinated. I got so excited and happy about playing with the colors that I exceeded eight pairs of exterior and linings. I can’t really remember how many unique sets I made but let’s say I have more than double the number of bags cut and ready to sew. I figure they will make some pretty fun gifts for the future.
I’m fairly pleased with my prototype overall and only need to make a few modifications on my construction for the next ones. I can’t wait to sew some more of these and share them.
Never mind my last question….this is too hard for me to make 13! esp. The boxed corner/zipper part- whew !
Wow! So glad to see this before heading to Indiana. I have a few more zippers to bring you and would have forgotten all about them.
LOVE these bags! 🙂
