Today was the the celebration of words in Mason’s class. He shared two poems which he spoke into the iPad.
Tonight his teacher, Mrs. Schmitt, sent me this note:
It has been a true joy to teach Mason this year. He has to be one of the most engaged students I have ever taught. He is always thinking and ready to share. He has progressed well this year in his reading and math. In August his STAR reading score was 3.6. This week it was 5.6! He is quite the reader!
Over the summer encourage him to write or type a journal. Help him generate and organize his ideas by having him retell an adventure he had or list facts that he has found interesting about something he has read about. He will no doubt have a successful third grade year. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Mason’s life.
I’m glad Mason had such a caring teacher who helped him grow.
