Taking Precautions

Today was much the same as many other days but the effects of Covid-19 were felt early on this morning.  First, my hairdresser cancelled my appointment because she once again had close contact with a positive case of the virus.  I sure do appreciate her transparency and would much rather be inconvenienced by long locks (for me) than exposure.  Not long after, Bill shared that the local high school basketball team was in quarantine due to close contact with positive cases on an opposing team.  This is not much of a surprise as so many of the sports events have gone on mostly as “normal.”

I took advantage of the unexpected gift of time to do some extra chores, catch up on email and work on my writing and list making.  I ran to Best Buy where Mason’s car was awaiting  installation service.  For Christmas, we upgraded his radio to one with Car Play and purchased a back up camera.  He will be all set now with a car that should take him through to college.

After a yummy lunch of leftover curry soup, I went to adoration.  Prayer time is always time well spent.  I later knit with Peggy and Britni from Illinois. It’s been wonderful to have regular visits with friends who live far away.   Walker did a few more Door Dash deliveries on his way home from school.  The schedule is so flexible and for the amount of time he works, the compensation is good.

This evening Walker had an appointment so it was just Bill, Mason and me around the dinner table. The energy was uplifting and it was a pleasant way to end the day.
