This morning after my meeting, Bill and I left for a long walk. We decided to start at one of our usual spots off of Lincoln and head west. When we arrived at the Evansville State Hospital, we walked a loop around the lakes. There were a lot of puddles and ducks and some frolicking ducks in puddles.
The weather started off cool but warmed up when the sun came out. Spring is in the air and the daffodils are starting to pop up.
We continued up Lincoln until we reached Boeke. We crossed over the Lloyd and meandered toward Wesselman Woods. We followed a path that led us on railroad tracks, near the golf course and shot us out by Morgan. It took me a little while to find my bearings but before the tracks ended, I correctly guessed where we would end up. We were close enough to the Mall and that’s where we made a pit stop. After the Mall, we continued on Green River Road until Washington Avenue, turned east until Plaza Drive and then back to Lincoln.
Our total distance was a satisfying 12.36 miles.
