Our day started off very early at the Evansville Airport where we dropped off Walker to catch his first flight with a final destination of Costa Rica. His travels today would take him from EVV to Dallas to Miami to San Jose, Costa Rica. Having TSA pre-check meant that he had literally no time in line. He was so jazzed to go that I actually had to call him back for a hug.
Midmorning Bill and I departed to Louisville to pick up Mason. He was coming inbound from Orange Country and making his maiden voyage as a solo traveler.
He flew Southwest from Orange County to Phoenix to Las Vegas to Louisville all on the same plane. While some might have balked at seven+ hours in travel time, he was pleased to settle in, watch movies and play games.
Bill and I wandered through the malls in Louisville and took a nice walk at the Bernheim Arboretum. We have been at least once before but this time we explored new paths.
Mason’s flight was delayed but that gave Bill and me time to try Koreana II. This restaurant was a hole in the wall but the food was fantastic. Who could beat the tray of vegetables they served right off the bat?
We made it time to sit by the gate for a few minutes before the plane landed. I had cast on a cup cozy this morning after dropping off Walker at EVV and cast off the last stitches just as Mason’s plane landed.
It was a very happy homecoming!
(And we heard from Walker who made it all the way to Costa Rica. Whew and yippee!)
Makes me miss summer! Such great memories for your world travelers!
