But he is not mad. Last month, Walker went to a Merit Badge University. This is a workshop setting where certified counselors teach and guide the scouts about certain topics to earn merit badges. They are usually fairly intensive and for many badges, it is possible to satisfy all the requirements to earn the badge.
Walker and Bill went to one last month where Walker spent the day working on his cooking merit badge. He learned a lot about cooking over a fire and in the Dutch oven and from all reports, he ate very well that day.
To meet all the requirements of the cooking badge, he had to do further cooking at home. He and Bill made dinner for us tonight in the Dutch oven.
Walker made chicken and veggies. It was delicious. The parchment liner makes the cleanup a lot easier and does not affect the taste. This meal made enough to feed an army and I bet the leftovers will be even better tomorrow.
Wow! It looks great! Thought the parchment was some sort of crust, like a pizza crust.
You can wear an apron and cook for me any time, Walker.
Walker, I LOVE stew and soup so much! Yummmmmm!
