Today we walked in downtown Evansville and we started later in the afternoon. It was still hot, of course. We wanted to explore the historic homes and some nearby streets.
We parked at Chandler and Water Streets and let the wind take us where it would. We tried to walk mostly north/south and take advantage of the shade from the buildings. We didn’t have a real destination unless you count the one pit stop I insisted upon at the Double Tree. Otherwise, we just wandered through the neighborhoods and looked at the wide expression of architecture.
Off Main Street, I found Selfie Alley
and took one!
Look at how this new housing building installed the meters with such a fancy design flair.
That’s a thoughtful detail since Bru Burger has an outdoor patio that faces the side of this building.
We walked down and through Hayne’s Corner and then back to the car. We called it quits after 4.3 miles and consider it a walk well done.
